Paul Vosseler (1890–1979) [1]

Born in Gelterkinden, Vosseler studied geography at the University of Basel, where he qualified as a professor with a thesis on the Aargau Jura. He subsequently worked as a teacher at the Realgymnasium Basel. He developed various teaching aids for geography lessons, such as a landscape type atlas and a large number of type reliefs, which he had distributed and which were then used by numerous schools in lessons. In 1960 he became interim director of the Geographical Institute of the University of Basel.
