Levett Landon Boscawen Ibbetson (1799–1869) [1]

Captain Ibbetson’s work included the geological formations of the Isle of Wight, on which he wrote various reports for geological societies. During several years he devoted himself to the relief model production of geologically interesting areas. He also built up a valuable collection of fossils. He died in Biebrich (Prussia), where he had settled in the last years of his life.
