Johann Häfliger (1926–2005) [1]

Häfliger lived in Urdorf and worked as a commercial employee for an insurance company. When the enthusiastic mountaineer was no longer able to undertake tours due to health problems, he began building reliefs at the end of the 1970s. He made step models from Pavatex, the edges of which he smoothed out. From these he made plaster casts, which he painted and presented at various events of the Swiss Alpine Club.
